The Forest Remembers is a pilot project supporting cultural revitalization, tropical forest restoration and creative production rooted in Afro-Caribbean land lineages.

Through media, art, curation and learning experiences, it reactivates memory and connects artists and diaspora communities with the landscapes and cultural histories they have shaped. It envisions sustained, ecological and cultural stewardship in vital and endangered forest areas where these histories have been erased.

The project is inspired by Fairweather Wilds–a short film that explores material and family legacies of the Caribbean mahogany trade.
